RNase Inhibitor
For inhibitor of eukaryotic RNases, including RNases A, B and C
RNase Inhibitor is a recombinant protein which completely inhibits a broad spectrum of eukaryotic RNases, including RNases A, B and C by binding non-covalently in a 1:1 ratio.
It is not effective against RNase H, T1, S1-nuclease or RNase from Aspergilus. With an association constant of 1014M, it is useful in any applications where the presence of RNases is a potential problem (RNA purification, cDNA syntehsis by RT,
RNA sequencing, in vitro RNA transcription, in vitro protein synthesis).
RNase Inhibitor is tested for activity, SDS-PAGE purity, and the absence of endonucleases, nickases and exonucleases.
Features
- Complete inhibition of RNase A, B and C
- Significantly increases RT-PCR sensitivity
- DNase/RNase and Nickase free
- No inhibition of polymerase/transcriptase activity
- Stable over a wide range of pH, temperatures and DTT concentrations

Inhibits increasing amounts of RNase
A with high efficiency 2ug of total human HeLa cell RNA was incubated with 20 Units of RNase Inhibitor and 2ng, 750pg, 250pg and 125pg of RNase A (1-4) at 37°C for 30min. Controls were no RNase Inhibitor (5) and total HeLa cell RNA (6) and 2ug of total human HeLa cell RNA incubated with 125pg RNase A. |
